I just make a comment about one of the links above
The one on the Runaways Message Board:Brad Elterman-Like it was Yesterday. Theres a link called POSTER-STORY. Its a swedish article, and since not many of you speeks swedish I?ll tell you a little about it.
It?s about a pop-magazine called POSTER. They were the most popular magazine during the 70?s in Sweden. They were controversial and provocative and became a target for parentorganization,school authority and moralist group.The mag promoted Runaways heavily (they were on the front cover six times). It was POSTER that made them so popular in Sweden!
Theres also a story about Cherie and Marie:They were in Sweden to promote their album (Messing with the boys)and gave an interwiev in the magazine and they also donated their used underwear as lottery-prize. Naturally the moralist groups went mad and made a scandal out of it, with big headlines in the newspaper and TV
